Inside Sales Representative
Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities, supporting existing contractor accounts, and driving sales growth through proactive outbound communication. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships over the phone, qualifying leads, overcoming objections, and helping contractors grow their businesses through industry-leading water treatment solutions.
Success in this position requires strong communication skills, persistence, organization, and a passion for helping customers succeed.
Primary Responsibilities
New Account Acquisition
- Prospect and identify qualified plumbing, HVAC, and home service contractors.
- Conduct high-volume outbound calls, emails, and follow-up activities.
- Schedule appointments and product demonstrations for Territory Sales Managers when appropriate.
- Convert qualified prospects into active dealer accounts.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline within HubSpot CRM.
Existing Account Growth
- Build relationships with existing contractor partners.
- Identify opportunities to increase product purchases and program participation.
- Educate customers on promotions, new products, and training opportunities.
- Re-engage inactive or low-volume accounts.
Customer Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Answer product questions and provide basic technical guidance.
- Coordinate with operations, customer service, and field sales to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
Sales Activities
- Meet or exceed daily outbound activity goals.
- Meet monthly sales and account acquisition goals.
- Document all customer interactions in HubSpot.
- Follow structured sales processes and cadences.
Qualifications
- 2+ years inside sales, customer service, or business development experience preferred
- Strong phone presence and communication skills
- Excellent listening and objection-handling abilities
- Highly organized with strong follow-up skills
- Self-motivated and competitive
- Comfortable learning technical products
- CRM experience (HubSpot preferred)
- Microsoft Office proficiency
